can i get some clarification on what offends you here? is it that black artists are being grouped as black? is it that there is a black music month, rather than just music in general? or is it that identifying black artists as black is troublesome somehow?
i’m asking this as a black person who wrote a long, angry response, then had a long conversation, then deleted it, and decided i should know what i was talking about before i flew off the handle and argued that acknowledging difference is fine, as long as it doesn’t include a baseless value judgement.
thanks.
